Neera Malhotra - North London Speech and Language Therapist

My Speech Therapy qualifications and clinical experience

I have practised as a speech and language therapist in north London since 1990, both for the UK National Health Service and, latterly (since 1998), in private practice.

I work with children up to the age of 12 years with a range of speech therapy needs. These include dyspraxia, phonological difficulties, specific language impairment, Down Syndrome and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

I have also had considerable experience of designing and delivering speech therapy training to both professionals and parents. This has included training on early language development, Makaton signing, supporting children with Autism, Hanen Early Language Parent Programmes and Hanen programmes for Early Educators.

My academic speech therapy qualifications include an undergraduate degree in Speech Sciences and a Masters degree in Human Communication.

I am a member of both the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice. I am also registered with the Health Professions Council.

In 2004 I was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
